How to Use Interview Assistant

Five steps from download to your first answer
- 1
Download the app
Interview Assistant runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Get the installer from the download page and run it.
- 2
Activate with your licence key and email
Enter the licence key that was emailed to you after purchase, with the same email address. There’s no account to create and no subscription: the key is your access, and each key works on one device.
- 3
Upload your resume and the job description
Fill in your profile with your role, experience, resume and the job description. Both go along with every question, so answers match your real experience level and tech stack.
- 4
Start a session
Start a session before the interview begins. The app runs quietly in the background, and its window doesn’t appear in Zoom, Teams or Meet screen share.
- 5
During the interview
Deepgram transcribes the interviewer’s question in real time. When they pause, Claude drafts a suggested answer that streams onto your screen as Concise, Detailed or Bullets, and you can switch format mid-interview.
The pause before a question is sent starts at 2.5 seconds and can be changed in Settings. For how each stage works, see how a question becomes an answer in real time.
Questions about getting started
Which meeting apps does it work with?
Any. It picks up the call’s audio from your PC itself, not through the meeting software, so it works the same in Zoom, Teams, Meet or anything else.
How many sessions do I get?
The Starter plan includes 15 interview sessions. For more, see the plans and renewal options in the pricing section.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Transcription and the AI answer both run in the cloud, so the app needs to be online while you use it.
